  11.    Sound Player v1.0 allows the user to play digitized samples from the GEM
  12. desktop.
  13.  
  14.    SND_PLAY.ARC contains the following files :
  15.    
  16.    SOUND.ACC      desktop accessory; must be installed in the root directory
  17.                   of boot disk or boot partition
  18.    SOUND_EN.RSC   resource file for Sound Player; language : English.
  19.    SOUND_FR.RSC   resource file for Sound Player; language : French.

  22. IMPORTANT :

  24. ** First of all, rename the resource file depending on the language you
  25. want "SOUND.RSC". Accessory and resource file should be both in the root
  26. directory of boot-disk or boot-partition. **
  27.  
  28.    At boot-time, Sound Player is looking for a file named SOUND.INF in which
  29. you can save some parameters. If this file does not exist, no sound file or
  30. directory is pre-set in the accessory.

  32.    The Info menu gives you some information about the program and the author
  33. of Sound Player.
  34.    The Config menu allows you to set a SOUNDS directory where your sounds
  35. files are located. You can also save or load a *.INF file.
  36.    Play menu allows you to choose a sounds file in the directory chosen in
  37. the Config menu and a sampling speed. These choices done, you can play
  38. the chosen file just clicking a button.

  40.    Sound Player has been developped and successfully tested with a 1040
  41. system :

  43.       1 Mbytes of RAM
  44.       TOS 1.0 (ROM), TOS 1.4 & 1.6 & 2.5 (RAM)
